U2 In An Apple Commercial - Before the iPod?

Interesting.  I didn't know that U2 was part of Apple Computer's "Think Different" ad campaign.  Stumbled upon this video while searching for something else.

UPDATE: I found a copy on YouTube and apparently this person (Inamoment) created the video, inspired by Apple Computer's "Think Different" ad campaign.  Sure looks like a real commercial.  Too bad. Ha ha ha.

I Need A Lift

This is one of the songs I would listen to while going to college if I needed something to lift my spirits.  Nothing like a good 1980's song from when MTV broadcast music videos 24 hours a day.

Ultravox - "One Small Day" from the album Lament

Filmed on the Isle of Lewis (off the coast of Scotland) amongst the Callanish Standing Stones.

Petri Dish on Wheels, Part 2

Last weekend's Rain of a Billion Buckets marked the return of the Mold City Blooms!!!

This is the only spot in my car that blooms mold whenever it pours. Go figure. The car leaks in other places, but only here do they appear.  Penicillin, anyone?

"F" Keys

My keyboard has two "F" keys.  Betcha yours doesn't.  Yeah, yeah, so I use certain keys a lot.  Can't help it that they're popular letters.

(I admit that I haven't cleaned my keyboard in a while.  Who has time for that these days?)

Henry

Here's a pic of our resident kolea, Henry.  He's been coming back to this front lawn for over four years.  We were worried where he went when the roofers took over the place several months ago.

Kitteh Posse

Some of the kittehs in my posse.  No laugh the pics are kapakahi as I am low-tech.  Just tilt your head left and you will see them fine.  Oh, you do have to tilt your head to the right on some.

"What are you sticking in my face?"
"When's the fish showing up in the water bowl?"
"This is my better side for photos."
"I'd like another serving, please."
"Go away. Can't you see I'm eating?"

Work Space

This is all you're going to see of my half of the office!  The rest is of books, books & stuff.  Okay, move along now....

(Yes, I still don't know how to get the pics oriented correctly. Twist your head to the left and you can see it better.)

Between the Plumeria Trees

After that rain deluge of last weekend, I spotted this lovely patch of mushrooms growing from the wood chips.  Too bad they're poisonous.

(Sorry! Don't know how to get the pics rotated correctly!  Told you I'm low-tech!)

An Interesting Character at the Marathon

Here's one of the odd characters that was at the Honolulu Marathon Startline.  I couldn't figure out what company it was from, but I do know that the person was participating in the Race Day Walk by the yellow bib number pinned on it.  That costume must have weighed a ton afterward with all that rainwater it absorbed.

Strolling Along at Ala Moana Beach

Okay, the pigeon was doing the strolling.  I was actually taking a photo of the Hawaii Superferry on a voggy day.  My bf asked if I had seen the pigeon after I had taken the photo.  If you zoom in on the pigeon, you will actually see that it was getting pushed by the wind!
